The HSM 4 is a mini handset with four orange buttons, built for Hörmann’s 433 MHz fixed-code receivers, including the HE1, HE2, HE3, HEI and HER 433 ranges.

Don’t mix it up: It’s easy to mix up with the EcoStar RSC 2 or RSE 2, which also run on 433 MHz, but those use a rolling code and a different-shaped case.

Seen it cheaper somewhere else?

Check it’s the genuine Hörmann remote. Many cheaper listings are copies or “compatible” remotes, not the manufacturer’s own. A genuine Hörmann remote has the Hörmann name on it, usually on the front or on the label on the back, along with the model name. With a fixed-code system a copy can sometimes work, but it isn’t the manufacturer’s remote and quality varies, so check the listing says genuine and the photos show the Hörmann name.
