About the Hörmann HS 4 (868 MHz)
The HS 4 is a large, slim handset from Hörmann’s 868 MHz fixed-code family, with four light blue buttons in a diamond pattern. It shares its electronics with the smaller HSM 4 868 and works with Series 2 SupraMatic and ProMatic operators, gate operators before July 2012, HE, HER and HET fixed-code receivers, and Garador operators from 2005 to 2011. It isn’t compatible with newer BiSecur receivers.
Is this your remote?
Look on the label or the back of the remote for:
HS4-868868 MHz
What it looks like: A large slim grey handset with four light blue buttons in a diamond pattern and a red light.
Don’t mix it up: It uses the same case as the HS 4 40 MHz and HS 4 26.975 MHz versions, so check the button colour, light blue rather than grey or green, before choosing.
Also sold as: HS4-868, HS 4 868, HS4, Hörmann article 437549, Garador part 680.
Still not sure? Upload a photo below and we’ll match it, or send it and we’ll check it by hand.

How it’s set up
This is a fixed-code remote: it sends the same signal every time, so you set it to match the code your door already uses, either by copying it from your current remote or by setting the same code inside it. Rolling code vs fixed code explains the difference.
We email simple steps for your system with every order, and if it won’t pair, email us and we’ll walk you through it.
Seen it cheaper somewhere else?
Check it’s the genuine Hörmann remote. Many cheaper listings are copies or “compatible” remotes, not the manufacturer’s own. A genuine Hörmann remote has the Hörmann name on it, usually on the front or on the label on the back, along with the model name. With a fixed-code system a copy can sometimes work, but it isn’t the manufacturer’s remote and quality varies, so check the listing says genuine and the photos show the Hörmann name.
Every remote we sell is the genuine Hörmann remote, with set-up help included.
